MICROBIOLOGY

At USP's invitation, IPAC-RS has led USP Project Team Aerosols (PT 7), which was formed in 2001 as an advisory body to the USP Aerosol Expert Panel. As its first project, PT 7 focused on microbiological test methods and limits for orally inhaled and nasal drug products. These recommendations have now been published as a 'Stimuls for Revision' article in the USP Pharmacopeial Forum, July-August 2005, vol 31 (4), pp. 1258-1261.
