Cascade Impaction

The IPAC-RS Cascade Impaction Working Group is developing a method for Efficient Data Analysis (EDA), which may be used either with full-resolution or with Abbreviated Impactor Measurements (AIM). To read about the retrospective data analysis that led to the development of this approach, as well as about the design of a prospective experiment comparing precision of the full-resolution and AIM systems, please click here for document and slides. These materials were part of the Working Group's discussion of these approaches with FDA, Health Canada and an EMEA representative. The results of the subsequent experiments are published at: Results. If you have any questions or comments on this work, or would like to learn more, please send an email to info@ipacrs.com.

IPAC-RS Satellite Conference at RDD Europe 2011: Perspectives on Efficient Data Analysis Methods and Abbreviated Impactor Measurements as Quality Assessment Tools

The IPAC-RS Satellite Conference, held on Friday, 6 May 2011, included short presentations from representatives of regulatory agencies, pharmacopeias and industry followed by interactive discussions with the audience around technical and statistical aspects of EDA and AIM, and the lifecycle approach to incorporating EDA and AIM in product development, registration and manufacturing.

The Satellite Conference program is posted here: Final Program.

A Conference Summary Report is available here: Summary Report.
